Want to have dinner with the president?
President Leebron has announced a new student dinner series. Beginning with an inaugural dinner on September 15, ten undergraduates will be randomly selected from a list to have dinner with President Leebron and Ping at their home. This new dinner series provides an additional opportunity for students to interact with the president and Ping in an informal setting over dinner.
To get your name on the list from which the invitees will be selected, email Pauline Warren at pwarren@rice.edu with your name, class year, college and intended field of study (if one has been identified). Submit your information between now and September 9 to ensure you are eligible to be selected for the first dinner.
President Leebron periodically sets aside time to visit with students by holding open office hours. They are held in President Leebron's office and no appointments are necessary. This is a way for students to convey concerns, ask questions, or just engage President Leebron in conversation.
These office hours will be conducted with an "open door" approach, allowing as many students to come as will fit in the president's office. Thus, individual problems will continue to best be raised in private appointments with the appropriate university officials.
